Lake Orta

For us, Lake Orta is the most romantic of the Italian Lakes. The main town of Orta San Guilio is lined with old cobble streets, housing great restaurants and wine bars. It has also become known for its artistic exhibitions, displaying both modern and traditional pieces.

It is a perfect place to stay and just relax for a few days, although it is also close to Lake Maggiore for those who wish to do some more exploring. For sure, once you have been staying here for a few days you will come away with many local friends.
